Research Overview Preclinical · cell & animal

What it is

CJC-1295 without DAC, also called Modified GRF (1-29), is a 29-amino-acid analog of the N-terminal fragment of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). Four amino-acid substitutions (D-Ala2, Gln8, Ala15, Leu27) were introduced to resist enzymatic cleavage. No DAC means the molecule does not carry the drug-affinity-complex group that binds albumin in the DAC version. It is supplied as a lyophilized powder.

Preclinical (cell & animal) research themes

The compound is used to study GHRH-receptor signalling in pituitary cell preparations and animal models, including receptor binding, second-messenger responses and the pulsatile behaviour of somatotroph cells. Comparative work has characterized how the substitutions change the stability of the peptide relative to native GHRH(1-29).

Why laboratories order it

It is a defined, stabilized GHRH-receptor ligand for receptor-pharmacology and endocrine-signalling assays, and a common comparator alongside tesamorelin and sermorelin in analog studies. There are no approved human uses of this compound.

Avenio Bio supplies this compound strictly for laboratory research — not for human or veterinary use, and not to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does No DAC mean?

The peptide lacks the drug-affinity complex (a maleimidopropionic-acid group) that lets the DAC version bind serum albumin; the No-DAC form is the shorter-lived analog used in most in-vitro work.

Is this the same as Modified GRF (1-29)?

Yes. The two names describe the same 29-residue sequence with the same four substitutions.

Is there a certificate of analysis for this lot?

The Current Batch box on this page shows the documentation status for the lot currently shipping. When an independent report exists it is linked there and in the COA Library; otherwise the lot is marked COA pending.

How should the vial be stored?

Lyophilized: at -20 °C, protected from light. After reconstitution in the laboratory: 2-8 °C and used within weeks; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

What research areas is it associated with?

GHRH-receptor pharmacology and endocrine-signalling research in cell and animal models.
